FISU, the international university sports organization, places great importance on involving students in the organization and design of its competitions. "Medals are always a lasting memory for the participants. We are glad that the Linz University of Art and Design has supported us in this project," says the head of the organizing committee and Unisport Austria Acting President Dr. Hemma Angerer about the cooperation.
Herbert Egger accompanied the competition as part of his course at the Linz University of Art and Design and supported the students in producing their designs. The creative submissions were then judged by a jury in terms of coherence with the theme of sport climbing and originality. The best three designs were awarded prizes.
Among all the submissions, Alexander Till's design stood out and impressed the jury. Second and third place went to Karolína Jiřičková and Gabriella Vincze-Baba.
Vice Rector Univ. Prof. Frank Louis received the winner, Alexander Till, in recognition of this exceptional competition. "We are very happy to be able to offer our students an opportunity to realize a project like this in a practical way."
The Innsbruck 2022 FISU WUC Sport Climbing will be held in cooperation between Unisport Austria in the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research, the University of Innsbruck and the Austrian Climbing Federation Austria Climbing.
