13 – 17 JUNE Kletterzentrum

The countdown is running

100 days until the FISU World University Championships in Kletterzentrum Innsbruck will start!

During the home World Cup in Innsbruck 2021, the starting signal was officially given for the FISU World University Championships (WUC), which will take place from June 13 to 17 at the Innsbruck Climbing Center. The WUC is organized and carried out in close cooperation with the University of Innsbruck, the Climbing Federation Austria and Unisport Austria. Innsbruck is only the third venue in the history of a World University Climbing Championship after Shanghai (CHN) 2016 and Bratislava (SVK) 2018. The setting and backdrop is certainly worthy of this major event and the anticipation is growing day by day.

On March 3, the final preparation phase for the first major event in 2022 in the heart of the Alps began. There are exactly 100 days to go before the nearly 250 international athletes compete in a top-class field of participants and want to climb in the disciplines bouldering, lead and speed for the coveted precious metal. The KVÖ will also send many strong athletes into the race for the hourly world championship titles for the first big highlight of the year.
